Oxfordshire is the COMMON_ACCESS UK testbed, with Littlemore and Wallingford providing two distinct local contexts. Explore the project work happening in the county and within these unique communities.

Just 2.5 miles south of Oxford City, Littlemore is a place with deep roots stretching back to the Middle Ages. Today, this historic town is home to around 6,230 residents.

What we're doing

COMMON_ACCESS has hosted two workshops specifically for Littlemore residents:

COMMON_ACCESS is collaborating with the local community in Littlemore to identify exisitng  challenges regarding accessibility. Together with residents and stakeholders, the project aims to carryout a deep analysis of the context and challenges in Littlemore to ultimately co-create community-led solutions through participatory research.

Latest Workshop

In February 2026, the University of Westminster, Living Streets, and DHC Ltd. hosted a community focus group at the JHN Community Hub. 

The session invited residents and stakeholders to discuss how local community-led practices could be expanded to address the barriers that limit access to local services.

Wallingford is a historic market town on the River Thames, located about 13 miles south of Oxford and 12 miles north of Reading, within South Oxfordshire and near Didcot. Known for its medieval past, it is home to approximately 11,600 residents.
